Weather and PE Credit
Unfortunately, we have had A LOT of weather related cancellations this year. As a result we are going to need to be very focused on getting enough practice and game hours for Westlake High School PE credit.

Please make sure you are coming to each scheduled practice and game so you can get the proper credit.

Sponsorships
We need family and business sponsorships. Our club receives no Eanes ISD funding and we rely 100% on monies raised to run the organization.

If you have any questions or want to sponsor Westlake Womens Lacrosse, please contact email us.

Here's a note from the Austin Elite coaches to Coach Jo:

  • Try-outs are this weekend!!! Following the try-outs, there will be weekly practices (which should not conflict with summer league). In mid-July, the team will travel to California to participate in several clinics and 7-9 tournament games. Please pass along the flyer to the girls on your team that might be interested.

  • We are running the Arlington Showdown girls lacrosse camp. The camp will be held at the University of Texas at Arlington from June 24th to June 27th.
  • The camp is open to girls of all age groups and skill levels and will focus on the development of fundamental skills. As a supplement to quality instruction the girls will be split into teams based on age and skill level to play games in a tournament style.
  • We are excited to say that we have signed on Caitlin Banks as the director of the camp. Caitlin played for the University of Virginia where she earned All-American honors and won a National Championship. • NEW: Here is an email from Caitlin Banks, sent May 17:
    • I am pleased to introduce myself as the Director of the Arlington Showdown in Arlington, Texas powered by Lightning Lacrosse Camps. I wanted to reach out to you to let you know how excited my staff and me are to share our knowledge of the game with your girls. This is a great opportunity to fine tune stick skills, learn great team techniques, and go to the next level.
    • I am a graduate of the University of Virginia and had the extreme honor of being named to the 2004 All American Team after being part of an incredible group that won the National Championship. I have been involved in girls lacrosse since the age of 5 and it is my personal goal to share the knowledge I have gained throughout the years with girls that love the game. My staff will include fellow UVA graduates, and college coaches that believe that a positive and fun approach to teaching is always the best policy. In addition to my career as a player I coached at both Georgetown University and the University of Maryland. We will be teaching the newest and most up to date techniques to help the girls reach that next level.
    • Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. If you would like to register for the camp please go to www.LightningLax.com or call 877-812-2219.
    • I look forward to learning more about the goals of your program and how we can help!
    • All my best,
